Deflating the Dome

Updated on

Make sure that no one is in the dome before deflating!

1. Turn the blower to the off position

2. Undo the hook and loop fasteners (and any accessories such as a bungee cord) that secure the inflation tube to the blower

3. Secure the hook and loop fastener strap that is on the blower to itself so that it doesn't catch on any carpet or nearby materials

4. Unplug the blower

4.1. Wrap the blower's power cord around itself

4.2. Move the blower to a safe place away from the dome

5. Ensure the dome door zipper is closed and the hook and loop strap is secured

6. Gather the dome's duffle bag and the luggage straps

7. Stand on the side of the dome at a 90 degree angle from the door

8. With both hands, grab the dome material and lift from the ground to above your head.

  • Make sure to continue the motion upward to create enough inertia for the dome material to continue moving upward.
  • The dome material should glide over the air cushion created when it was inflated and land on itself on the other side.

9. Ensure that the bottom of the edge of the reinforced skirt line up with itself and that no gray interior fabric is exposed
