Projector Initial Setup

Updated on

Follow these steps to set up your StarLab projector for the first time. Once you've done this, you'll only need to follow our Presentation Setup steps to get ready to show StarLab to students.

We recommend that you do this setup outside of the StarLab dome.

1. Undo the clasps on the case

Claps are on both sides of the case.

  1. Flip the butterfly latch out
  2. Twist the latch counter-clockwise until the clasp pops open

Are you going to use your StarLab projector for a presentation right away?

Place the lid back on the projector (steps 2 and 1, but in reverse) and begin your dome setup. Having the lid on the projector while you move it around provides protection and ease of use.

Are you going to put your projector away to present later?

Return all your accessories that you took out in step 16 with the laptop on top. Place the lid back on the projector (steps 2 and 1, but in reverse), and wheel the projector case to a safe location. We recommend not stacking anything on top of the dome case to avoid any danger of crushing.
