STARLAB® warrants that the Digital STARLAB® Dome will be free from defects of workmanship and materials for a period of three (3) years from the original purchase invoice date from STARLAB® (Warranty Period). During the Warranty Period, should a defect from workmanship or materials arise which results from a breach of warranty, STARLAB® will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product free of charge other than shipping charges (and any duty/tax charges incurred by a customer located outside the United States). In no event will STARLAB®’s liability exceed the product purchase price.

STARLAB® does not warrant components manufactured and branded by other manufacturers (e.g., Optoma® projector, Navitar fisheye lens). However, during the STARLAB® Warranty Period, STARLAB® will expedite warranty repairs through the original manufacturer for components purchased but not manufactured by STARLAB®. Should service be necessary during the warranty period, please contact STARLAB®. All items need to be returned to STARLAB® so that they can be sent out for service.  

• The warranty for the Navitar fisheye lens is three years during the STARLAB® Warranty Period.
• The warranty for the Optoma® Projector is one year for accessories and consumable parts. The Optoma® projector warranty is one year, ninety days, or 500 hours, whichever is sooner for the lamp that is fitted to the projector. The Optoma® projector warranty is ninety days or 500 hours, whichever is sooner, for replacement lamps purchased separately from and not fitted to the projector a the time of sale.
• The Apple computer, that comes with the Saturn and Ares packages, comes with a three year AppleCare Protection Plan.  
• The ASUS computer, that comes with the Scout packages, comes with a one year warranty with the option to purchase a three year protection plan.

THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THOSE STATED HEREIN, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Accessories, replacement parts, and software purchases through STARLAB®’s online store are not covered by this warranty unless explicitly stated in the online product description.

This warranty is void if the product has been subjected to damage, unreasonable use, improper service, modification, power surges, or other causes not arising from defects in original materials or workmanship. The cloth Digital STARLAB® Dome is not designed for outdoor use, and any damage from outdoor usage is not covered by the warranty. Natural breakdown of colors and the cloth material comprising the Digital STARLAB® Dome is expected over a period of extended time and usage, and this is breakdown is not covered by the warranty.

The customer should carefully inspect the Digital STARLAB® Dome upon arrival at the customer’s designated shipment address. The customer should immediately report suspected warranty issues and retain all packaging, if possible, if damage to the Digital STARLAB® Dome is suspected to have occurred during transit. The customer is responsible for a reasonable degree of troubleshooting before making a warranty claim. The STARLAB® sales and customer service department will assist with the troubleshooting process, if necessary. Warranty claims must be made during the Warranty Period to STARLAB®.

Damage to the Digital STARLAB® Dome that is not covered under warranty will be repaired for a reasonable rate and a fee will be charged for both repair and return shipping.

STARLAB® shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential costs, including lost profits, or other expenses or damages resulting from any failure, defect, or malfunction of the Digital STARLAB® Dome.

This warranty is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without reference to choice of law rules. All claims to enforce this warranty shall be brought and heard exclusively in the Florida state courts located in Nassau County, Florida. Customer consents to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such court.

This warranty policy supersedes and replaces all previous warranty policies.
